Chapter 1: Tomoyo the Perfect
Tomoyo is with Sakura, who is surrounded by mirrors, and is fitting her into what is argurably her best dress made up to date--a wedding dress. "Oh, Sakura, you look so beautiful in my outfits. It makes me happy to have decided to become a fashion designer." Both young women blush, which is kind of cute on twenty-two year olds. Sakura tugs at the dress. "Don't you think one lacy fringe is enough?" Tomoyo drops the pins in her hand. "You don't like it?"she asks in surprise. "No, no, I love it, it's just.....nevermind-----whew!" Sakura gasps for air, and collapses into a chair.
Tomoyo, who has always known whatever was on Sakura's mind, looks at Sakura carefully. "You aren't--yes, you are! You're nervous, aren't you?" Sakura sputters, flabbergasted, then sighs deeply. "You always seem to understand my feelings better than i do." She turns and looks out the window at the pink cherry blossom tree, which is motionless and mysterious. "I know I love him and he loves me but I'm still nervous that my salary as a soccer player isn't satisfactory yet. Syaoran has become a master of swordsmanship and I feel a little inferior next to him. Also he has successfully finished college last fall and has a well-paying job as an optometrist. And he can cook!......" At these last few words she burst into tears. Tomoyo, who is very sensitive and understanding of peoples emotions, gently puts her arm aroundSakura's shoulder. "Talk to Li-kun, and tell him what you have told me. These feelings shouldn't be kept a secret, and Li-kun would want to know.  Whatever you decide to do, whether it be to postpone the marriage or elope in the death of the night, Li-kun will accept it and understand, because he loves you and wants you to be happy." Sakura breathes in the cherry-blossom scented air, and wipes her tears. "Arigatou, Tomoyo-chan.""Oh, Sakura, what about aa bow in the back? Or bells in your hair?""Oh, Tomoyo-chan......."

Chapter 2: The Letter
A single pink petal tumbles into a male set of hands. Suddenly he's surrounded by floating petals. He is alone, staring at the still river, observing the halfmoon that illuminaed the sky. His hands clench as he murmurs, "The Kinomoto girl." All you see is a crumpled petal and the promise of dawn awaiting the bitter moon to bid the sky farewell for yet another night.
Sakura, like most exhausted young adults, is fast asleep, on her floor of course, the traditional custom of Japan. Baka, she left the window open. A sudden movement in the shadows indicates that another is in the room, the tall silhouette and spikey hair implies it's a man. Sakura suddenly jerks awake to find Kero missing.
After searching the entire house, she sees beside her window an envelope. Inside, on a single sheet of paper, the only text written was <I HAVE YOUR TWO GUARDIANS. IF YOU WANT THEM BACK ALIVE THEN COME TO THE RIVER BY THE TEMPLE AT MIDNIGHT TOMORROW. CME ALONE.> Terrified, she tore the note and heaves herself onto the floor, haunted by visions of swirling lights in a dark place where Yue's and Kerberos' yells echo from every direction.
